TRANSMISSION FLUID

Manual, Automatic and Continuous Variable Transmission Fluid

• Lubricate parts within transmission system and promote smooth operation when changing gears

• Petrol Models - every 40,000 km or 2 years, whichever comes first
• CR-V Diesel - initial replacement is 80,000 km or 4 years, succeeding is every 60,000 or 3 years, which ever comes first

• Gear screeching and hard to change gear
• Worst case, driver may no longer be able to change gears.

DIFFERENTIAL FLUID

DPSF, VTM-4

• Lubricate parts rear differential internal components to enable smooth operation of clutch, which is essential for 4WD models

• All Models - initial replacement is 10,000 km or 6 months, succeeding is every 20,000 or 1 year, which ever comes first
• CR-V AWD Diesel - initial is 20,000 km or 1 year, succeeding is every 80,000 km or 4 years, whichever comes first

• Abnormal noise and judder when turning
• Worst case, rear differential needs to be disassembled and repaired

BRAKE FLUID

• A fluid used to transmit hydraulic pressure to the car’s brake system allowing the vehicle to stop or slowdown.

• All Models - every 60,000 km or 3 years, whichever comes first

• Brake pedals is spongy or hard to press down
• Decreased stopping power
• Worst case, car does not stop

ENGINE COOLANT

• A fluid that circulates inside the engine. Used to cool the engine down and keep it at a suitable temperature preventing damage due to overheating.

• Petrol Models - every 200,000 km or 10 years, whichever comes first
• CR-V Diesel - initial is every 100,000 km, succeeding is every 60,000 km or 3 years, whichever comes first

• Abnormal temperature gauge reading
• Worst case, engine overheating
