All-New Honda Prelude Makes Its Philippine Debut, Previewed at Honda Fest 2025

Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) officially opened its 35th anniversary celebration, Honda Fest, last Friday, December 5. The festivities started with a special message from Ms. Rie Miyake, President of HCPI. This was followed by a walkthrough of the activation and concluded with the reveal of the All-New Prelude. While Honda Fest is just a preview of the classic coupe’s electrified comeback, HCPI has reconfirmed that this will be launched in 2026. Ms. Miyake said that the All-New Prelude is a way to bridge the company’s legacy and elevated technologies and is a new phase of its expanded hybrid lineup.

This year’s Honda Fest aims to showcase the past, present, and future of the company. As a showcase of its evolution, displayed are pre-loved units of the 2000YM CR-V, 1998YM Civic SiR, 2001YM HR-V, and 1993YM Prelude beside their current, electrified versions. Also on display are the ICE models in HCPI’s lineup, such as the best-selling BR-V and City. Test drives for the following models are available the entire weekend:

  • City 1.5 S CVT Honda SENSING
  • City Hatchback 1.5 RS CVT
  • Civic RS e:HEV E-CVT
  • CR-V RS e:HEV E-CVT
  • HR-V RS e:HEV E-CVT
  • New HR-V S CVT
  • BR-V 1.5 S CVT
  • Brio 1.2 RS Black Top CVT

While sharing plans for the company, HCPI also reiterated that as part of enhancing the overall customer experience, it has also made important evolutions to its dealer network. As previously announced, effective January 1, 2026, the Gateway Group will operate Honda Cars Makati, Cebu, Negros, Cagayan De Oro, while the Borromeo Motoring Group will manage Honda Cars Bacoor, Pasig, Mandaue, and Iloilo. Additionally, HCPI will have its own subsidiary to directly operate Honda Cars Shaw. As an expansion of Visayas, Honda Cars Tacloban will soon be fully operational.

Also making its debut at Honda Fest was the Pro Honda engine oil. The brand aims to make things more convenient for owners as this was manufactured specifically for Honda, eliminating the need to turn to third party alternatives. Eventually, more products will be introduced such as other lubricants and chemicals. Some attendees were able to bring home their own Pro Honda engine oil as well as limited Pro Honda giveaways and merchandise.

HCPI’s anniversary celebrations will continue until Sunday, December 7, at the Promenade Parking of Festival Mall, Alabang, from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM. There is no entrance fee and all are welcome to join. Daily activities include test rides for Honda Philippines, Inc.’s (HPI) electric bikes (EM1 e: and CUV e:), road safety activities for kids from the Honda Safety Driving Center (HSDC), and a special car display from Honda Club of the Philippines (HCP) on Sunday. Everyone is invited to grab this opportunity to find their next dream Honda as HCPI will also extend its 35th anniversary promo, ’35 Years: Driving Dreams Forward’, until December 31, 2025, as a special treat for all its customers.

“We are so grateful for all the support you have shown us in the past 35 years, and we look forward to many more years together. Aligned with our global brand slogan, The Power of Dreams – How We Move You, we commit to bringing inspiration and the freedom and joy of mobility to our customers in the Philippines. Honda will remain your trusted mobility partner, always moving forward with you toward your dreams and aspirations. Please stay tuned for the exciting plans we have ahead.”, said Ms. Miyake.
