Honda Foundation Supports Pawikan Conservation

Honda Foundation, Inc. donated an all-terrain vehicle (ATV), a motorcycle, and a tricycle to the Pawikan Conservation Center in Barangay Nagbalayong, Morong, Bataan.

Locally known as Pawikan, the endangered Olive Ridley marine turtles face the threats of poaching, harvesting of eggs, ocean pollution, and climate change, among others. The endangered status of these marine turtles poses a threat to biodiversity. With the help of the donated vehicles, patrol work for nesting monitoring, egg collection, transport and relocation, and emergency response will be faster, safer, and more efficient.

Honda aims to be a company that society wants to exist through its products and technologies, as well as through social contribution. Activities geared towards the conservation, preservation and protection of natural resources reflect Honda’s commitment to build a safe environment and ensure quality of life for the society.

Honda Foundation, Inc. is composed of Honda Cars Philippines, Inc., Honda Philippines Inc., Honda Parts Manufacturing Corp., and Honda Trading Philippines Ecozone Corp.
